Please join us Thursday evening November 9^th at Mindspace (Wanamaker Building), for our Slots and Dots linear & downlight Emerging Professional Expo to show off Philadelphia Lighting Agents’ most specified products!

Seasoned specifiers may have a brand bias when it comes to searching and specifying products – We all have our favorites and defaults! This event was created for emerging professionals, but is open to all, with the goal is to give less experienced specifiers the chance to form their own opinions and decide which lighting stands out to them, without any prior brand bias, external input, or sales pitches. This expo will also give more experienced consumers the chance to form new opinions based on advances in technology in the ever-changing lighting industry. Each reviewer will get the chance to blindly compare, using a score card to rate their favorite fixtures of each Category! Think of it like the Lighting Pepsi Challenge!

5:30 – 7:00 Evaluation

7:00 – 7:15 Voting Closed, Tallied, Results Announced

7:15 – 8:00 Floor Open to All

8:00 – 9:00 Take Down

AGENCY INFORMATION:

To make this event possible, we need your participation and contribution! Each agency will be charged an entry fee of $2400  (we encourage your agency to split the cost at $400/manufacturer). We are not accepting non-agency registrations for manufacturers.

Each agency who participates will provide (1) fixture per price tier: standard, moderate, premium. Three recessed downlights and three linear pendant fixtures, for a total of 6 fixtures from each agency, within the following parameters:

Set up will begin promptly at 4:00 for unloading and set up at Mindspace in the Wanamaker building. Tables for downlights and 60-inch racks to hang the linear fixtures will be provided (3 racks per agency). Since this is a blind comparison, we will assign a location and provide tape to cover any identifiers. Each manufacturer will be required to bring their own hardware to secure fixtures to the racks (C-Clamps, Etc.), as well as extension cords and power strips.

Manufacturers encouraged to attend – you will be in a separate area during the blind judging and then will have access to the floor to discuss the results and talk about their fantastic products!

When the winners are announced, you will get to speak briefly about the winning product and its attributes!

LAST DAY FOR AGENCY REGISTRATION: OCTOBER 5, 2023

Product cut sheets + photos of sample due by October 26th (2 weeks before event) – product will be reviewed to ensure it fits the parameters. Anything you can send before Oct 26 is much appreciated!
