SCHOLARSHIPS

The Philadelphia Chapter of the Illuminating Engineering Society is comitted to fostering the next generation of lighting professionals. The chapter offers scholarships to help abate the cost of pursing lighting related careers. 

THE IES PHILADELPHIA SECTION LIGHTING SCHOLARSHIP

This annual scholarship competition is offered to current students in the Philadelphia area and outlying areas. The goal of the scholarship is to directly impact education and career of a student by providing funds to help cover the cost of pursuing a lighting related degree.

DESIGN WITH LIGHT COMPETITION

Design wiht Light is annual student competition that aims to get students talking about the study of light. This hands-on competition encourages students to create a luminaire and discuss the inspiration behind it. The goal of the scholarship is to introduce students to the industry as well as other students in the area studying illumination.

PENN STATE SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is designed to encourage Penn State third-year Architectural Engineering students to pursue the study of lighting. The recipient is chosen by the Penn State AE department faculty.
